I Don’t Have to Be Enough

I’ve spent a lot of time trying to measure up.
Trying to be strong enough, wise enough, good enough.
Trying to hold everything together when something inside me was quietly falling apart.

There’s a kind of exhaustion that doesn’t show on the outside.
It lives in the expectations we carry.
The pressure to perform.
The fear of being “too much”… or not enough.

But I’ve come to the end of that.
And strangely, the end feels like a beginning.

Because I’ve discovered something holy:

I don’t have to be enough.

He is.

He is I AM when I feel like I’m not.
He is King when I try to rule my own little world.
He is Provider when I feel like I’m falling short.
He is Faithful when I can’t follow through.

He doesn’t need my perfection.
He wants my presence.

So I stop striving.
I stop pretending.
And I sink into the safety of being small in the arms of Someone so great.

Tonight, I let go of every self-made standard.
And I breathe out the truth:

“I don’t have to be enough. You are.”

Powerful, this is where I struggle the most.
Crazy because I’m not enough! Simple truth, He is everything I need in every circumstance.
    Thank you!
