It’s quiet tonight.
Not because the world is still—but because I am.
There are things I didn’t finish.
Questions I didn’t answer.
Feelings I couldn’t quite name.
But I’m here. And so is He.
I used to think rest was something I had to earn.
A reward for doing enough.
Getting it right.
Proving I was worthy of a pause.
But I’ve learned something different.
Rest is not a finish line.
It’s a doorway.
And Jesus is already on the other side.
He doesn’t meet me at the top of my effort.
He meets me in my stillness.
My surrender.
My trust.
He is Peace when I cannot calm myself—and that is where rest begins. When I let His peace define my moment, I no longer need to fix it all first.
He is Provider when I don’t know what’s next.
He is With Me when I feel alone.
He is Shepherd when I lose the thread.
He is Healer when I don’t have words for what hurts.
He is King when I try to carry too much.
He is Faithful when I’ve come to the end of myself.
He is I AM.
And that… is enough.
So tonight, I stop.
What would it mean for you to stop, too?
Not because everything is finished.
But because I choose to be found.
I let go.
I lean in.
And I listen for the whisper:
“You are safe now.”
“You are Mine.”
“You can rest.”
