I Am Walking With Him

I used to think walking with God meant always knowing where I was going.
Having clarity. Direction. Momentum.

But lately, it’s felt more like companionship than certainty.
A slow walk in the cool of the day.
A quiet awareness that I’m not alone.

There are days I move with confidence.
Others where I shuffle my feet and ask a lot of questions.
But still—we walk.

He doesn’t rush me.
He doesn’t fall behind.
He keeps pace with my pace.

He is With Me when the path is unclear.
He is King when I want to take control.
He is Faithful when I’m hesitant.
He is Shepherd when I wander.

And in every step, I feel it:
The steadiness of His presence.
The kindness of His nearness.
The love that walks with me—not behind, not ahead, but right here.

I’m not blazing trails.
I’m not proving anything.
I’m walking with the One who knows the way.

And tonight, that is more than enough.
So I lean in.
And I whisper:

“I am walking with Him.”
