In our post on sustaining momentum after a spiritual high, we closed with a simple charge: The lifestyle is built in the ordinary days, and the gains from the high are still in you. We also introduced something to help carry that lifestyle through the months ahead — a free, three-step journey called Your Summer with God (consists of FREE mini courses).
That journey is now available. We want to take a moment to walk through exactly what it is, why it’s shaped the way it is, and how it meets you in the season you’re in.
Schedules loosen. Routines shift. Vacations interrupt rhythm. For many of us, summer is the season when the practices we’ve built feel hardest to sustain — not because intimacy with God matters less, but because life looks different for a few months. Therefore, your summer with God needed a different shape than the rest of the year — not less depth, just a different rhythm.
That’s exactly why we created Your Summer with God — a free, three-step journey designed around the reality of summer itself. No live schedule. No weekly deadline. No Zoom. Just three short courses that build on each other, available whenever you have a few minutes — in an airport, on the beach, or in the quiet after everyone else is asleep.
Here’s the honest truth about summer: It isn’t a failure of discipline when your “God rhythm” loosens. It’s simply a different season with a different shape. Therefore, rather than asking you to force spring’s pace into summer’s reality, Your Summer with God was designed from the ground up to honour the season you’re in.
Step One: Begins with a Story
Step One of Your Summer with God is called God Encounters — and deliberately, it doesn’t begin with instruction. It begins with Franklyn’s own story of meeting the living God. Before you learn a practice, you need to know that practice connects to a real person — Jesus Christ — who is real, personal, and already pursuing you.
In John 1:14, we’re told “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” God didn’t send an instruction manual. He came as a person to be known. Similarly, God Encounters begins relationally rather than instructionally — because intimacy is built through encounter long before it’s built through information.
Psalm 34:8 invites us to “Taste and see that the Lord is good…” Notice the order — taste first, then see. Experience precedes full understanding. Therefore, Your Summer with God starts where faith always starts: With an encounter that makes God believable again, not a lecture that makes Him theoretical.
This matters especially in summer, when attention is scattered across vacations, visiting family, and changed routines. A story is something you can carry into a car ride or a quiet evening sitting in your favourite spot. It doesn’t require a notebook or a desk. It simply requires a few minutes and an open heart — which is precisely what most of us actually have to offer during these months.
Step Two: Learning to Hear for Yourself
Once you’ve encountered God through someone else’s story, the natural next step is learning to encounter Him through your own. That’s Step Two — our free Breakthrough course, which teaches you to recognize God’s voice for yourself in just eight minutes.
We explored this in depth in our post on how God’s voice sounds different than you might expect — He speaks through whispers, impressions, circumstances, scripture, and community. Breakthrough takes those principles and makes them immediately practical, so you’re not just admiring someone else’s story — you’re living your own.
In 1 Kings 19:12, after the wind, earthquake, and fire, God spoke to Elijah in “a gentle whisper.” If Elijah needed help tuning his ear to recognize that whisper, so do we. Therefore, the free Breakthrough course exists precisely to help you tune in — wherever you are this summer, however unstructured your days look like.
Notice the design here. Step One built your trust in Him through hearing a real life testimony. Step Two converts that trust into something you do yourself. You’re no longer simply hearing about someone else’s relationship with God — you’re building your own capacity to recognize His voice, regardless of how unfamiliar that might feel at first.
Still wondering if you can really hear God’s voice for yourself? Start our free 8-minute course, Breakthrough to Hearing God’s Voice, and discover that hearing God isn’t reserved for pastors and prophets — it’s for you. It’s free. It’s short. And it could change everything this summer.
Step Three: Building the Daily Foundation
Testimonies and learning to hear His voice are powerful, but without a daily foundation, even the most meaningful spiritual high fades into memory. That’s why Step Three of Your Summer with God is the free course Maximize Your Gratitude — built around the practice that sustains everything else: thankfulness as a daily rhythm, not an occasional feeling.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 instructs us to “… give thanks in all circumstances…” Not for all circumstances — in them. That distinction matters. Gratitude isn’t a denial of difficulty. Rather, it’s a deliberate posture that keeps your heart oriented toward God’s faithfulness even when the season feels ordinary or hard.
Maximize Your Gratitude takes that posture and gives it four practical keys — small enough to practice on even your busiest summer day, substantial enough to shift gratitude from something you feel occasionally into something you live daily. Together with the encounter of Step One and the voice of Step Two, gratitude becomes the foundation the whole journey rests on.
It’s worth noticing the order here too. Encounter comes first because relationship precedes practice. Voice comes second because hearing God shapes how you respond to Him. Gratitude comes third because it’s the daily discipline that holds the first two steps in place once the initial excitement of starting something new has settled into ordinary life.
A Journey, Not a Program
Here’s what makes Your Summer with God different from a typical course: there’s no schedule to keep up with, no deadline to meet, no live sessions to coordinate around vacation plans. Start with God Encounters course whenever you have ten minutes. Move to Breakthrough course whenever you’re ready for the next step. Finish with Maximize Your Gratitude at whatever pace fits your life right now.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “There is a time for everything…” This summer might be a season of disrupted routine for you — and that’s precisely why this journey was built the way it was. It meets you in the season you’re actually in, not the season a rigid program assumes you should be in.
Those exploring the gift of prophecy or deepening their understanding of spiritual impartation will find this journey lays essential groundwork — encounter, voice, and gratitude are the soil those gifts grow from. Likewise, those practicing prophetic intercession will find Your Summer with God deepens the intimacy that intercession flows from. None of these gifts operate in a vacuum — they grow out of a life rooted in intimacy, attentive to voice, and anchored in gratitude.
What If You’re Starting Mid-Summer?
Maybe you’re reading this in July, or even August, wondering if it’s too late to begin. It’s not. Your Summer with God was built precisely for people arriving at different points — there’s no cohort to catch up with, no missed week to make up for and no Zoom links!
Lamentations 3:22–23 tells us God’s “… compassions never fail. They are new every morning…” That promise doesn’t expire partway through summer. Whatever week you’re in right now, today is still a fresh entry point. Start with God Encounters. Let the next step follow naturally when you’re ready for it.
Likewise, if you’ve already completed one step and stalled before the next, there’s no penalty for the pause. Pick back up wherever you left off. The journey was designed to absorb interruption — because interruption is what summer actually looks like for most people.
What This Summer Is Building Toward
Your Summer with God isn’t engagement for its own sake. It’s building toward something. This September, everything you’ve encountered, heard, and practiced comes together in our FREE four-week course, Living in the Kingdom (Part 1) — where a life rooted in intimacy with Him starts to become a sustained way of living rather than three separate steps.
Philippians 1:6 promises “… that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion…” That’s the shape of this whole summer. God Encounters begins the work. Breakthrough and Maximize Your Gratitude carry it forward. And Living in the Kingdom this fall brings it to a place of lasting transformation.
Wherever you are this summer — home or traveling, in a season of clarity or in a season that feels scattered — Your Summer With God is built to meet you there. Not to add pressure to an already full season, but to deepen what matters most, at whatever pace your summer allows. That’s the whole design — depth without demand, intimacy without intensity, and a relationship with Him that doesn’t pause just because the calendar looks different for a while.

Start wherever you are. Go at your own pace. And get ready for what’s coming this September.
