💌 You don’t have to earn what I already gave you.

🔹 Reflection: You don’t have to earn what I already gave you. I’m not keeping score of your effort to decide whether you’ve done enough to deserve my presence. I never was, even on the days it felt that way.

You’ve been treating rest like something to earn once the striving finally pays off, once you’ve finally proven yourself steady enough, disciplined enough, holy enough. But I already called you friend, not a servant working toward approval. That part was never waiting on your performance to begin with.

The exhaustion you feel isn’t a sign you’re failing at faith. It’s often just a sign of a yoke I never asked you to carry, dressed up as diligence because it was the only framework anyone ever handed you.

Come to me as you are, heavy laden and all. Not once you’ve closed the gap yourself, not once you’ve earned your way to a cleaner version of you. Now, exactly as you are today.
