I Am Healing

It’s not obvious.
There’s no bandage.
No breakthrough moment.
Just a slow, steady quieting inside me.

I used to think healing had to be immediate.
Loud. Dramatic. Obvious.
But I’m learning that some healing is soft.
Hidden.
Holy.

It comes in pieces—
a lifted weight I didn’t realize I was carrying.
A breath that comes easier.
A tear that finally falls.

I am not the same as I was.
Even if no one else sees it.

He is Healer when I still feel broken.
He is Shepherd when I’m afraid to revisit old wounds.
He is Faithful when I wonder if I’m moving at all.
He is Peace when I start to panic.

And every time I come to Him, raw and unsure,
He is there.
Not rushing. Not scolding.
Just welcoming me back into wholeness.

Healing doesn’t mean I’ve arrived.
It means I’m being restored.
From the inside out.

So tonight, I give thanks for what’s changing.
Even if it’s slow.
Even if it’s quiet.
Even if it’s still unfinished.

Because I know the One who’s holding every piece.
And I can say, with honesty and hope:

“I am healing.”
