Sometimes we need to remember who’s really on the throne.
Not just in the heavens—but in our hearts.
El Melek – The King.
This name echoes through Scripture—from the Psalms to the prophets to Revelation. He is not just a ruler; He is the Ruler. Sovereign. Holy. Just. Eternal.
“For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.” – Psalm 95:3
We live in a world of shifting powers, loud opinions, and temporary crowns. But our King does not change. His reign is not fragile. His rule is not up for debate. He is seated, steady, and still speaking.
👑 What This Name Means in My Life
There are days when I try to rule my own little kingdom—managing outcomes, controlling people, protecting myself. But it always leaves me tired.
When I remember that El Melek is King, I exhale. I release what was never mine to carry. I lay down my crowns—the ones I’ve earned, and the ones I’ve made up—and I take my rightful place as daughter.
He governs with righteousness.
He reigns with mercy.
He leads with wisdom.
And He knows what He’s doing.
🕊️ Living Under the Reign of Peace
When I know Him as King, I don’t have to prove myself.
I don’t need to grasp for control. I don’t have to carry the weight of the world.
Instead, I walk in alignment.
I listen for His decrees.
I reflect His character.
And I become an ambassador—one who carries the culture of the kingdom wherever I go.
He is the King over me.
And now, He is the King through me.
🙏 A Simple Prayer
El Melek, my King—rule in my heart today.
Let Your wisdom guide me, Your mercy cover me, and Your justice steady me.
Teach me to live under Your reign with joy and trust.
And let my life reflect the goodness of Your Kingdom.
Amen.
