You sit in the quiet.
You whisper the words.
You ask. You thank. You plead.
And… nothing.
No impression. No response. No warmth or revelation. Just stillness.
If you’ve been there — or are there now — take heart.
You’re not doing it wrong.
In fact, you may be closer to God’s heart than you realize.
Prayer is more than expression — it’s communion. And sometimes, communion happens in silence.
We often judge the “effectiveness” of our prayers by what we feel in the moment. But feelings are not the measurement of impact. Some of the most powerful prayers are prayed in dry seasons. When you keep coming even when it feels like nothing is happening — that’s faith. That’s love. That’s surrender.
Consider Jesus in Gethsemane. He prayed — not once, but three times. Heaven was listening. The angels were present. But the answer didn’t come as immediate peace — it came as strength to walk the path ahead.
Sometimes prayer doesn’t change your situation.
It changes you.
Even when you don’t feel it, God hears. He’s not withholding His presence — He may simply be deepening your endurance, anchoring your identity, or stretching your trust.
You may not see the fruit of your prayer today. But something is happening:
- In the spiritual realm
- In your heart
- In the intimacy that grows not through answers, but through abiding
Don’t give up when prayer feels empty.
Keep coming. He’s there.
