There’s a particular kind of spiritual loneliness that’s hard to explain to people who haven’t felt it. You love God. You’re committed to your faith. But somewhere between Sunday morning and Monday afternoon, the connection fades — and you’re not sure how to get it back, or how to keep it when you do.

You may have had moments — a word that stopped you in your tracks, a dream that felt too specific to dismiss, a sense of being called to something you can’t yet articulate. Those moments didn’t come from nowhere. But without a community that knows how to help you develop them, they can feel more like a burden than a gift.

 

Perhaps you’ve tried to grow prophetically in environments that didn’t quite know what to do with that kind of gifting. Or you’ve learned a great deal but still feel like there’s a gap between what you know and what you’re living.

Who We Are — And Why Forerunner Ministries Was Created

Franklyn grew up in a church where God felt silent. Not hostile — just absent. He did what faithful people do: He showed up, he followed the rules, he kept believing. But for years, what he experienced was a religion about God rather than a relationship with God.

That changed at age 16 when Franklyn heard the audible voice of God. It was a single moment that reframed everything — not just what he believed, but what he understood was actually possible.

Years later, Franklyn and his wife Amy planted a house church in Montreal, Canada. What happened there wasn’t planned — it was a move of God that turned their understanding of ‘church’ upside down and convinced them that the kind of encounter Franklyn had experienced at 16 wasn’t exceptional. It was the birthright of every believer.

That conviction became Forerunner Ministries — first in house churches in Canada and Switzerland, and now as a global online ministry and community spanning across the world.

We want you to know: We are not teaching from theory. Everything we offer has been tested in the fires of real ministry, real life, and real encounter with God. The pathway we’ve built is one we’ve walked ourselves to genuine transformation.

What Franklyn teaches doesn’t come from a curriculum or a book. It comes from decades of direct encounter with God — moments of revelation, seasons of deep intercession, and a prophetic calling tested and refined in the fires of real ministry. He is not a man who found these truths in books and organised them well. He is a man to whom God has spoken — and who has spent his life learning to be faithful to what he has received. That is the source of everything Forerunner Ministries teaches. Not human wisdom dressed in spiritual language, but a living transmission from a man who has genuinely heard from God.

Franklyn and Amy have been married for over 30 years, and they have two daughters. They are Canadians and have lived  in Switzerland for almost two decades, which means they understand what it’s like to carry a calling across cultures, languages, and contexts. The global reach of Forerunner Ministries isn’t a strategy — it’s the natural outworking of a life genuinely lived that way.

Every Thursday, our Forerunner members gather online for a 90-minute live session — teaching, activation, impartation and a supportive community with believers from across the globe. We always record these sessions so members can view them in their own time. Between sessions, 30+ courses provide the foundation.

Franklyn and Amy were living in Toronto when the Holy Spirit began moving in extraordinary ways in January 1994 — what became known globally as the Toronto Blessing. What started as a local outpouring became a worldwide movement of renewal, healing, and encounter with God. It deeply shaped their walk with the Lord and laid the foundations of everything Forerunner Ministries would become. In 2020, Forerunner Ministries officially joined the Catch The Fire family — a connection that reflects shared heart, history, and vision. We are grateful for the ways our journeys continue to intertwine as we pursue His presence together.

That said, membership is designed for those who want more than a single course — it gives you full access to our ongoing live Thursday teachings, recordings of these live teachings, 30+ courses on demand, and our global community. If you’re serious about consistent spiritual growth, membership is the better path… and it’s much more cost effective than taking individual courses.
